One can admire an enchanting view over the lake from the Hotel Kalevala’s restaurant, which can accomodate 200 guests. The first class menu fullfills the gourmet dreams of clients and is the perfect end to the day in Kuhmo. The pleasant style of the restaurant is a great atmosphere for receptions and parties. Guests can relax before and after their meals in the lounge next to the restaurant where they can read the daily newspapers, have a cup of coffee or otherwise relax listening to soothing music. The hotel has a summer terrace and there is also a place to cook outdoor meals on the sandy beach. For groups the hotel also has themed dinners. Our most popular is the “Old Time Dinner”.

This is an enviable setting to dine in with spectacular views over the lake. Our cuisine is designed for international taste whilst using local produce, meats and techniques.
The dining room can seat up to 200 people and is adjoined by a covered terrace for special meals and functions. For groups there is the Kalevala buffet with its Russian flavour or a historic banquet for those who wish to experience traditional Finnish food in the old fashioned way.
